Summer 2024 Level Method Assessments Summary

Congratulations to everyone at Audacious CrossFit!

Our 10 Weeks of CrossFit Training from 4/1/24 to 6/7/24 resulted in improvements in our overall fitness and health.

We had 63 Individual Category Level Up’s (compared to 39 in Spring 2024) among 7 of us (who had established Overall Fitness Levels) who took part in the Assessments this go around.

That is an average of 9 Individual Category Level Ups per person (compared to 4.875 in our Spring 2024 Assessments).

We had Overall Level Promotions for:
Gunnar H., Yellow II to Yellow III to Orange to Orange III
Suzan R., Orange to Orange I
Brett M., Orange II to Orange III
Liza R., Yellow II to Yellow III
Albert L., Purple III to Brown

With everyone’s levels averaged, our Gym Avatar Overall Fitness Level as of 6/22/24 is Orange III, higher than it was as of 3/31/24 (Orange II).

Our Relative Strength (Strength to Bodyweight ratio) is the same at Blue I.
Our Objective (Absolute) Strength went down from Blue II to Blue I.
Our Electricity (Central Nervous System ability) is the same at Blue I.
Our Plumbing (Cellular Fueling) is the same at Blue.
Our Ventilation (Oxygen and Breathing) is the same at Blue II.

Since 3/31/24, we as a whole went up in 4 of the 15 categories on the Level MAP, went down in 3, and stayed the same in 8.

Our Front Squat went down from Blue II to Blue I.
Our Upper Body Pull went up from Blue to Blue I.
Our Lactic Tolerance is the same at Orange I.
Our Deadlift is the same at Blue I.
Our Upper Body Push is the same at Orange III.
Our Upper/Lower Endurance is the same at Orange I.
Our Weightlifting is the same at Blue II.
Our Rings went up from Orange III to Blue.
Our Squat Endurance is the same at Blue III.
Our Neurological and Core Endurance went up from Orange II to Orange III.
Our Kettlebell is the same at Blue III.
Our Flexibility went down from Purple I to Purple.
Our Running is the same at Purple I.
Our Rowing went up from Blue I to Blue II.
Our Aerobic Power Intervals went down from Blue to Orange III.

We assessed over 2 weeks (10 business days).

We had 1 new member complete their Assessments alongside the Team in the classes.
We have 1 new member currently completing their Assessments 1-on-1.

Our last 10 weeks of Training focusing on 1 Hero workout and 1 Girl workout per week, along with 2 other Strength days and 1-2 other Metcon days per week helped our Upper Body Pull, Rings, Neurological & Core Endurance, and Rowing improve. Our Front Squat, Flexibility, and Aerobic Power Intervals going down 1 Stripe each is due to newer members’ assessed lower levels for those categories. Not to fret, in the next 10 weeks of Training, our programming should result in those categories improving when we re-Asses in the Fall.

We also had an unique opportunity having Valerie Levesque, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT come and conduct Isometric Strength Assessments for us using the Isophit and Kinvent devices. We will see what these data look like in the Fall after our 10 weeks of Summer Training.

We are looking forward to the next 10 weeks of training (6/24/24-8/30/24), and a goal of achieving at least 6 new members over the next 3 months!

Fall 2024 Assessments will be from 9/2/24-9/13/24.
