Freedom of Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation of fitness and health.

To be able to eat anything we want and convert what we eat into useable energy effectively and efficiently to perform work, and not create bodyfat, is our goal.

Another way of saying this is to be metabolically flexible.

Our ability to use carbohydrates, protein, and fat in the right amounts and in the right situations when the time calls for it demonstrates metabolic flexibility.

We can train our bodies to do this by eating and moving properly, to achieve freedom of nutrition.

However many in society are not as fit and healthy, and most importantly, metabolically flexible.

Because of the food product-medical-pharmaceutical-mass media-big agriculture-government-industrial complex, most people are misled and ignorant to what proper nutrition, fitness, and health are, leading them to be metabolically inflexible and subject to developing many of the chronic diseases we are seeing today.

We were and are subjected to the nutrition propaganda that eating more (processed) carbohydrates and less fat would help us stay fit and healthy.

We were and are misled to think that eating nutritional fat leads us to create bodyfat. We were and are also misled to think that eating nutritional fat leads to us to heart disease, heart attacks, and strokes.

We need to recognize the war that the above said complex is waging on our minds and bodies and fight back, by making better decisions with our nutrition.

It starts with education, and in parallel, application. Sustained effort to keep continually educating ourselves and applying the principles of proper nutrition is what we can do to better our minds and bodies, and not be enslaved to big food/sugar, medical, and pharmaceutical companies, especially.

That is how we declare, fight for, and sustain our nutrition independence.

Eating specific foods for specific purposes at the right times in intentional ways over time helps us achieve freedom of nutrition.

For example keep carbohydrate consumption low in conjunction with performing low intensity efforts while focusing on breathing through our noses, will provide our bodies the opportunity to burn nutritional fat and most importantly, bodyfat, effectively.

Also, using carbohydrates in select times of high intensity efforts is what we can do, too, to be able to rev our engines at high outputs effectively, whenever we want to.

To be able to transition between low intensity efforts using nutritional fat and bodyfat, and high intensity efforts using carbohydrates for fueling, smoothly, is what we determine as metabolic flexibility, and achieve freedom of nutrition.

Getting to the point of consuming carbohydrates and not experiencing elevated insulin levels for prolonged periods of time, and by burning mostly fat at rest is the overall goal for achieving freedom of nutrition.

Do you think you are metabolically flexible, based on what was outlined above?

Do you think you are achieving freedom of nutrition, right now?

Are you doing what you can right now to get there?

If not, then we can help.

One way we can help is to start by assessing your Nutrition and Lifestyle habits and routines.

We also collect objective data on how your body is operating “under the hood,” via bloodwork. Bodyweight and Bodyfat Percentage measurements we collect, as well, to use as baseline data to improve on over time while you are getting Nutrition Coaching.

With those data, we can see if your body is deficient in using carbohydrates and/or fat.

Once we know that, then we can specifically train your mind and body using personalized Nutrition Coaching you can follow to improve.

By working with you in our Nutrition Coaching Sessions that include Nutrition Education, Motivational Interviewing, Goal Setting, and Action Planning, you will be able to make the necessary shifts in your Nutrition and Lifestyle habits and routines to be more fit and healthy.

“Homework Assignments” that you will get in our Nutrition Coaching Sessions every other week are simple and manageable tasks or actions to take that we both agree for you to try to accomplish, until the next Nutrition Coaching Session.

After our yearlong process of Nutrition Coaching, we would collect bloodwork and body composition data again, to verify the changes and improvements you made.

The path to freedom starts with figuring out where we are.

Once we know where we are on the map, then we can figure out where we want to go.

The path to freedom to take is then up to us to follow, with the right guide.

We will help you figure out where you are, help you define your goal(s), and help you find your way to freedom.
