Knowledge Thirsty Thursday
Context
What you do for your 1 hour of your day, whether it be in the gym doing physical training, or getting outside hiking, running, or even cycling as a few examples, should be just a piece of your whole life.
It should not be your whole life.
It might be hard to hear, but you are not a runner. You are not a cyclist. You are not a weightlifter. You are not a CrossFitter. You are not a hiker.
You are a human.
A theoretical way of looking at it:
Humans live, work, and play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
8,760 total hours we humans live per year.
365 hours of training you do in a year do not what define you.
The other 8,395 hours where you are striving to be the best human who sleeps, breathes, hydrates, eats, and interacts with other humans the best you can be, in a year do.
.
In simple terms:
What you do in that 1 hour of your day does not define you. What you do with the other 23 truly defines you.
Use that 1 hour of your day to make the other 23 better (and vice versa).
Use that 1 hour of your day as a reward for all the good work and effort you put into the other 23.
That 1 hour of your day should be the cherry on top.
Come use your 1 hour of practice and training here in class as your cherry on top of your life’s deliciously constructed sundae.
