Happy Half Year's Eve
Happy Half Year’s Eve!
Are you still on track since the beginning of the year? Consistency is key in our efforts to attain the results we want.
How consistent were you (understanding the priorities and conditions our lives throw at us daily), in making it to class to learn, practice, and train?
If you were consistently attending class three, maybe four, or even all five days of the week since the beginning of the year, then congratulations! You must be experiencing great results from all the efforts you have put in. Gradual improvements in your strength and conditioning, your body fat percentage and muscle mass, your overall physical looks, or even your mental outlook and readiness are huge factors in your overall improvement in your fitness and health. Give yourself a pat on the back and use the improvements you have seen as fuel to your fire for more growth. One piece of advice right now to give is to say “keep it up.” Continue your consistency. Just show up, and we’ll take care of the rest.
If you had not been that consistently showing up to class (twice, once, or even not, per week) since the beginning of the year, then it is definitely not too late to start to adjust your course. Are you able to plan your schedule so that you can squeeze at least one more time a week to make it to class? It is only halfway through the year, and you have much to gain in the next six months! Again, if our goals still stand since the beginning of the year, and we know that the key is to “just show up,” and to put in just a little effort with our help, then really we have no excuses. All you have to do is to reach out for accountability and re-commit to the challenge. No harm, no foul, and no shame, if you have not been to class. Life throws curve balls at us and we have to tend to some things that deserve our attention that sometimes take precedent over our self-care (like working on our fitness and health). However let it be known that if coming to class for our self-care is placed high on the list of tasks to do during the day, then our ability to handle life’s curve balls might be easier (physically, mentally, and/or emotionally).
As we hit the midway point of 2021 on our journey to exercise and protect our Four Freedoms (of Nutrition, from Pain and Disease, of Movement, and of Thought), let’s take a moment to remind ourselves of our ultimate “Why?”
Remembering why we are taking the time to learn, practice, and train regularly our mind, body, and spirit with the rest of the IMA Tribe, will help us stay on track, or even get back on track for the rest of the year.
See you in class!
